Google Music Manager not uploading all files

I have found one solution that seemed to have worked for me.

Reset the location of the location that the Google Play Music Manager uploads music from.

1.Click the Google Play Music Manager icon in your system tray at the bottom right of your screen (Windows), menu bar in the upper right corner (Mac) or notifications area (Linux) to access the Google Play Music Manager.

2.Select the ’Advanced’

3.Click ’Change’ and select your preferred location

By doing this and restarting the application, it will upload everything it missed the first time around.

Nexus 7 - Accessing files from the network

I keep movies and TV shows on my Apple TimeCapsule.

To stream or download onto the tablet, I use ES File Explorer (free).

Change "Local" to "LAN" and you'll see all the local computer shares on your wi-fi

I've been finding that I can't stream higher quality shows and movies on to the tablet over my wi-fi. They tend to be jittery. When this happens, I simply copy the files onto the Nexus 7 and view it directly.

Easiest way to root Nexus 7: Nexus 7 Toolkit

Rooting the Nexus 7 using the toolkit makes it all dead simple.
Here are the steps after downloading the toolkit:

1. Install the drivers.
• The toolkit installs drivers, but that didn't work for me on Windows 8.
• Download and install them from the ASUS site
2. Enable debugging mode on tablet
• Go to Settings > About
• Tap multiple times on Build Number at bottom
• This will unlock Developer Menu
• Hit the back button and go to the Developer Menu
• Enable USB Debugging
3. Plug in the Nexus 7 to your PC via USB
4. Run the toolkit and choose your Android version
• If the toolkit can see your tablet, it will list the serial number at the top
• If it cannot, it's most likely a driver issue (re-install drivers/restart PC)
5. Select #8 "1-CLICK FOR ALL..."
• Follow the prompts.
• This will take care of everything for you.

Notes:

1. I chose to go with TWRP instead of Clockwork
2. Because I'm using the newer 4.2 Android, I went with supersu. (Superuser does not support 4.2 yet)

Instead of pressing the Accept or Reject buttons, you have to DRAG them across the screen.

Pressing does not do anything.

Android: Remove Gmail account without factory reset

You can reset your phone by doing a Factory Reset but that will erase all data (contacts, photos, etc) on the phone.

But if your phone has ROOT access, you can go about it in an easier fashion:

1. Download ES File Explorer from Android Market (free)
2. Go to settings and enable Root access
3. Explore to /data/system/ and find this file : accounts.db
4. Delete that file (accounts.db)
5. Reboot your Android device
6. Now you can register another account!

Also, doing a Factory Reset will NOT remove root access, so that's still an option!

Nexus 7: How to find MAC Address

Here’s where it’s located.

Click on the Home > Settings (the circle with 6 squares in it right above Home)

Then Click on Settings > About Tablet (all the way at the bottom) > Status

Wi0Fi MAC address should be the third listing

DropIt - Automatic File Organizer

To get pictures off my digital camera on to my hard drive, I either connect the camera or the microSD card and copy the files manually.

I didn't want to install the bloated software that came with my camera just for this task.

I found a great little tool called DropIt!

It's incredibly simple to set up and use. And it definitely beats writing some DOS or Powershell script (which needs to be tested and debugged)
